Project: Day 1

We were spending 2 school days working on our project in class. Yesterday was the first day that we started our 2-day exam.

Firstly, I continued to work on the animation itself. I got a tablet from Howard and used it to draw some more on Flash. Then I used IMovie to convert the FLV files into AVIs.

I think that the new parts of the animation I did weren't as good as my old ones so I may end up having to remake them at home.

Later on in the day we conducted a focus group in which we showed people our inspirational videos. I chose to show an animated video by AlliKatNya on Youtube which was the insiration to make my animation on cats.

The video can be viewed here:

And here are some pictures of our focus group session:

I have now done 19 1/2 of my project:
3 hours of research
3 hours to make the character reference sheets (one hour for each character)
5 1/2 hours on the animation
3 hours on the storyboard
5 hours on the exam day

Project Working On My Animation

I spent another 1 and a half hour on my animation today and yesterday.

This is proving to be quite hard now and I'm unsure whether it'll be done in time to be sent to the examiners.

I have now done 14 and a half hours of my project:
3 hours of research
3 hours to make the character reference sheets (one hour for each character)
5 1/2 hours on the animation
3 hours on the storyboard

I have now done 13 hours of my project:

3 hours of research
3 hours to make the character reference sheets (one hour for each character)
4 hours on the animation
3 hours on the storyboard

3 hours of research
3 hours to make the character reference sheets (one hour for each character)

Work On My Project

Over the past few days, I spent around 2 hours making the first clips for my project animation.

I've done some simple movements but I cannot figure out how to change them to AVI clips so I can put them in Ulead VideoStudio 11 to add the effects which is quite frustrating.

I think I'll try and just make all the clips at home and then transfer them all into Ulead at school on the 2-day project day instead.

Here's a frame from the beginning of the animation:

So far, I've done 8 hours of my project:
3 hours of research
3 hours to make the character reference sheets (one hour for each character)
2 hours on the animation
