Visit 2 From Rob of Saatchi & Saatchi

Today in our Diploma lessons, Rob from Saatchi & Saatchi, who had also visited last year, came in to talk to us about their "don't let your friendship die on the road" campaign.

First, we talked in a group about the campaign as a whole. I quite like the campaign, it is effective and a good idea but I don't like the radio ads, they don't seem effective enough.

After, we went to our computers and answered some questions that Rob had prepared. We did this in Powerpoint form and spent the rest of the lesson doing this. I wasn't really that pleased with mine since it didn't sound very professional.

After that, we showed Rob our presentation on WaterAid and he gave us his personal opinion and feedback. I was really pleased since he really seemed to like it so I feel more confident when it comes to presenting it to Ms Gammon.

Research For Project: Other Animation Programs

The final part of my research~

Other Animation Programs

Flash is most certainly not the only animation program available, there are many more usable animation softwares that vary from skills, prices and impact.

Toon Boom Studio 4:

Possibly one of the best animation programs yet. Made for animators, by animators and excellent for learning how to make cartoons.

Animationish

A more simple animation program which is great for lerning the basics of cartoons.

Flip Boom

A much more simple animation program made by the “Toon Boom” creators more for kids to use due to it’s simple tools.

After Effects:

One of the hardest animation programs to use but nevertheless, still an animation program.

Pencil:

Allows vector and bitmap drawings. Much like a combination of Photoshop and Flash. A great introductionary animation program.

Synfig

Great for lighting and camera effects.

CreaToon

Similar to Toon Boom but a little more simple however, bitmap images come in handy.

Toon Boom Digital Pro

Strictly for professionals only, an amazingly effective animation program.

Toon Boom Studio Express:

Unlike Toon Boom Digital Pro, Studio Express is an effective beginners animation program to use.

SWiSH

A great effects animation program mildly similar to Flash.

Ulead Gif Animator

Old school animation software, simple and uses the .gif format.

TV Paint

A very effective program and a professional one is also available.

Plastic Animation Paper

A brilliant almost-traditional software. Free trials and a professional version are also available.

Motion Studio

Only really useful for loops and slideshows as it can only write in .exe files.

Pro Motion

Close up pixel manipulation is what this program is used for, perfect for gamers to create sprites and pixel-characters.
